Further to this post, we believe that increasingly there are going to be two types of experts in the world – (1) those who can advise us and answer our questions out of their own knowledge and expertise, and, (2) those who can advise us and answer our questions out of their knowledge of what’s on the internet, who we are calling “Internet researchers.”
Internet researchers will primarily be good at researching and good at writing, (we are always amazed at how few good writers there are in the world,) but they won’t be relying on their own knowledge at all, as it will be irrelevant.
(Obviously, we’re mainly interested in those who work on health care and well-being topics, but Internet Researchers are needed just as much to work on technology topics and commerce topics.)
Two things in particular interest interest us about Internet Researchers.
Firstly, that only one is needed for each topic in the whole wide world.
Secondly, how, increasingly, those who advise us and answer our questions out of their knowledge of what’s on the internet are going to be relied on more than those who advise us and answer our questions out of their own knowledge and expertise – the latter just won’t be able to compete.
