Getting help in delivering your baby

We have written extensively about how it’s been reported in the media that a couple went to the Fairfield Government Hospital in November 2014 for help in having their baby, and got none, they had to try and deliver the baby themselves, and the baby died. And the fact that we have not been able to find any evidence that anything has changed in the almost four years since.

See this previous post.

You would think it would be not that hard and not that expensive for there to be some government hospitals, perhaps 2 or 3 or 4, in Sydney to be set up so that couples could go to them for help in having a baby and for them to get it ALWAYS. It could be publicised that, “You may have to travel a few extra kms to get to these hospitals, but expectant mothers, if you come to one of them, you are GUARANTEED that you will ALWAYS get professional help in having your baby.”

Of course, the Premier, Gladys Berejiklian is never interested in such matters – in fact she takes every possible step to prevent being even made aware of them, let alone be bothered by such details.

We have written to Brad Hazzard, the Minister for Health, (at least he has an ordinary  email address,) about this problem, but he is yet to display any interest.

And also to the Shadow Minister for Health, Walt Secord – we’ve given up thinking that he even comes to work!!!!!

And to the Member for Parramatta, Geoff Lee, a number of times – he doesn’t even acknowledge your emails. He seems to be too busy getting 18 to 20 photos of himself in photo opportunities that he can put in glossy brochures to be sent to his constituents every couple of months.

And we’ve tried to make Liz Scully, the lady who apparently has been chosen to stand for Labor against Geoff Lee in the next State Election, aware of this problem, but have found nothing to indicate that she’s even contactable.

And we’ve tried to find out from Ramsay Health Care whether they provide any guarantees at any of their hospitals – and, of course, got no response. We’ve be having contact with Ramsay for at least 10 years, and have recently come to the conclusion that they are almost certainly the worst organisation to deal with that we’ve ever come across. We understand how money is very important to Stock Exchange listed companies, but it seem crystal clear with Ramsay that nothing else matters, NOTHING!

So readers, what is to be done?
