Further to our previous post and our efforts to find a Sydney neurologist who could advise us on Low Dose Naltrexone, if it was appropriate for us, and assuming that neurologists are the ones most likely to be able to do this..
On the one hand, so many on the internet seem wildly excited by LDN, one even claiming that it “may well be the most important therapeutic breakthrough in over 50 years,” and that “any autoimmune disorder, any cancer, PTSD and chronic fatigue syndrome, all may respond to LDN,” and another claiming that it is “up there with immunisation, antibiotics and antidepressants!!!” and, on the other hand, one of the neurologists we’ve emailed has advised us that “she doesn’t have any experience in Naltrexone and she doesn’t know anyone who does!!!”
Someone who’s been a doctor for more than 11 years, who’s in a practice with 4 others, one of whom is an Associate Professor, who would be rubbing shoulders with other doctors all day every day – and “she doesn’t have any experience in Naltrexone and she doesn’t know anyone who does!!!”
Further, on 4 Oct. 2018, received from a Sydney neurology practice with 13 neurologists in it – “None of the doctors at this practice prescribe Low Dose Naltrexone or have expertise in this area.”
WHAT IS GOING ON?
